I have that same problem - can't log onto anything that isn't actually in SJ Monastery or GH.

I'm having the same problems with my characters in Maguuma Stade. I logged onto one that wasn't there, moved him to Maguuma Stade, logged out, and now I can't log in on him either.

Careful guys, I know how many of you keep your characters in Maguuma Stade (I'm serious though, I do, there's 2 of us).

Most of this error occured right when gifts would be given out during the festival, making it difficult to get hats and excess gifts.

now my Level 20 Necromancer, from nightfall, can log into Shing Jea Monestary.

Ive had other characters in shing jea today, andcan sign into all my other characters (10/11)

Changing to a different district did no good, as ive tried America, International, Japanese, and Traditional Chinese. no dice.

shes my last character to do the CNY quests... shed finish off my stack of fortunes >.>

Looks like problem may be with the American districts. I logged in with another character & went to a European district. The I logged in with my dervish and got in.

I'm on international and it's happening. Some of my characters are in Shing Jea, some are in Lions Arch and some in Kamadam, I don't see any kind of pattern, but some of my characters just can't log on. Was happening to my brother as well and he was on the European districts.

This is very frustrating. I am trying to run all my characters through the festival quests and can only log onto a couple of them.

Since yesterday I was unable to log onto 2 toons that were in Kamdan. I got a 050 code. I couldn't run them through the CNY quests. Now I can't log onto any who were in Kadaman, EOTN or LA. A guild member and alliance member are getting the 050 code too in Factions. BIG BUG! I tried changing districts to international and that didn't make a difference. This is bigger then some players not getting a Wintersday hat. Re-do?

After just sort of waiting/reading the forums/watching the olympics, i was able to get in on my necromancer.
perhaps just waiting is the trick?

I was wondering what's going on yesterday as well.

It seems to only affect PvE characters. None of my PvE characters can log in, whether they were parked at Lions Arch, Kamadan, EoTN, or where-ever else.

The only characters that I can log in are the PvP characters at Balthazar... but then PvP chars can't visit Shing Jea

I was at international when it started. Changing districts to Europe or Asia doesn't help either. In the end, All and Only my PvE characters cannot log in.

Oh well, at least the good news is there are no new masks. I already got a Lion Mask from previous years.

I also re-booted my computer, no luck with that either. So, "Character A" sits in limbo. And I'm a sad panda.
I mamaged to log in on "Character A" (Stuck at EotN) after a bit more experimenting. What I did was: I logged back in on "Character B," (at EotN) Switched to ID1, then back to AD1, mapped out of EotN (to Gunnar's Hold in case that matters), then back to EotN. I then logged out and then was able to log in on "Character A" and get her out of there. Hope this helps.

Complete opposite for me....can't log in to any pvp characters (all in the menagerie outpost), but I can log into my pve characters. International and Euro districts.

I saw a similar solution and tried it, it didn't work - in fact the character I used to try to get the rest out of 050-error-lock got hit by the same problem.

My friends also had the same issue - all of us had at least one character stuck in 050-error-lock, and it's not just the people in the American districts, because my friends and I frequent the Traditional Chinese and Japanese districts.

I was locked out on a handful of toons (but not all), and just kept retrying until I could access them. The worst case was reloading the same toon about two dozen times. Once I accessed them, I moved them to other outposts. (For me, "Error 50 lockout" only happened in LA and Shing Jea.)

I had the exact same problem the entire festival finale. Out of nine characters, I couldn't log in with 3 of them who were all in Lions Arch(and the only characters I had in Lions Arch). I submitted a help ticket, but it somehow resolved itself the next day before I got any help from them.
